Help With Drought and Famine Relief in Ganze - Update

Following our appeal to KeshoUK donors in January we received over £3,000 in donations, and in March 2017, Pauline Lowe and Geoff Powell took the money to Kilifi and it was presented to Kilifi Rotary Club.

On March 3rd, Pauline and Geoff, Kilifi Rotarians, members of the Kenyan Red Cross and volunteers from KEMRI took food aid to the village of Showela. The donations from KeshoUk along with those from other donors provided food for approximately 1,500 people from the surrounding area. The local village chief told us that this would help over 50% of the local people.

Each family group was given a months supply of food, 42kg of maize flour, 8kg of beans, 2 litres of cooking oil, 500g of salt and 5kg of uji flour.

You can continue to help the families in this area of Kenya by clicking on either of the two buttons below. The only deductions taken from the amount you donate are those taken by the credit card companies for processing the transaction. Every other penny donated will be passed to the Rotary Club of Kilifi to be used to provide food.
